New stars out to shine in Little Olympics

Rising athletes from different elementary and high schools in the National Capital Region will again converge at the Marikina Sports Park in Marikina City for the 27th Milo Little Olympics.

The two-weekend competition will be held from August 30 to September 1 and September 6 to 8.

Athletics, badminton, basketball, chess, football, gymnastics, scrabble, sepak takraw, swimming, table tennis, taekwondo, tennis, and volleyball are the events to be contested.

Organizers also added the biggest delegation, loudest cheer, cheer dance, best marching band and saludo, Miss Milo Little Olympics, and photo contest as side events.

Three slots from the National Finals in the elementary and high school, boys' and girls' divisions, are also at stake.

The deadline for registration is on August 19 at the Milo Little Olympics secretariat at the Marikina Sports Park, where the coaches and referees meeting will also be held on August 24 from 1 to 3 p.m.
