Pacquiao's biggest fight in 2013

Manny Pacquiao hurdled his first fight this year after being re-elected as the Representative of Sarangani province's lone legislative district.

Pacquiao was unopposedly garnering a total of 135,670 votes of the Sarangani's 296,499 registered voters.

His next big fight will be against 27-year-old Brandon Rios on November 23 at the Venetian Arena's Cotai Arena in Macau, China.

Boxing promoter Aljo Jaro, who manages Filipino light flyweight contender Denver "The Excitement" Cuello, along with Filipino-American Boxing Writers Association of America member Ryan Songalia and veteran fight analyst Atty. Ed Tolentino believes Rios is a good pick by Top Rank Big Boss Bob Arum to be Pacquiao's next opponent.

"November is a good month to fight for Pacquiao so he can train and properly prepare for his fight against Rios," said Jaro. "He should not underestimate Rios, aside from being younger he is hungry and motivated to win. Manny should train doubly hard."

Songalia, however, said that Pacquiao could easily figure out Rios' fighting style. "Rios is tough, but not too much unlike David Diaz stylistically. Rios is coming off his first loss against Mike Alvarado, which may have affected his confidence."

"I expect Rios to put a lot of pressure on Pacquiao, who will be needing a few more rounds to get his confidence back after that sixth-round knockout loss to Marquez," Songalia added.

For Tolentino, Rios is a dangerous foe for Pacquiao. "Pacquiao needs to get the fire in his eyes back and Rios' Gung Ho Style will force him to unleash that fire."

Tolentino added that Pacquiao's confidence will be a big factor after that stinging sixth-round loss to Marquez. He also said that Rios is the underdog in this match.

"Boxing fans though will be in for a treat. We're talking of a knuckle-fest here. Rios and Pacquiao will generate so many fireworks that it will be like the fourth of July in November," Tolentino ended.
