Our lives are full of clutter.

We tend to buy things that we don't usually need.

We tend to live a life in the past full of what-ifs and what might have been.

We worry about what the future holds for us and we forgot to live in the present and enjoy each moment.

Like what Prof. John Keating (Robin Williams) said in the 1989 film Dead Poets Society:

"Go on, lean in. Listen, you hear it? Carpe, hear it? Carpe, Carpe diem. Seize the day boys, make your lives extraordinary."

SASKATOON--Everyone is on a feverish high because of the 2024 Paris Olympics, especially in my home country, the Philippines, where gymnast Carlos Yulo made history by winning two gold medals in one edition of the Summer Games. Yulo's exploits in the floor exercise and vault events of men's gymnastics were the Philippines' third Olympic gold medal after weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz's historic feat in 2021 in Tokyo. Diaz, a silver medalist in the 2016 Rio Games, ended the Philippines' Olympic gold medal hunt to become the first Filipino to clinch the coveted prize. After three years, it was Yulo's turn, and he did it twice, the first in men's gymnastics floor exercise and vault events in 24 hours. Pacquiao out to restore fans' trust

Expect a quick ending as Manny Pacquiao plans to take the same approach as what he did against Ricky Hatton when he faces Brandon Rios for the vacant World Boxing Organization (WBO) International welterweight title on November 23 at the Venetian Resort in Macau, China. The former WBO welterweight title holder is hoping to bounce back from consecutive setbacks to undefeated American Timothy Bradley Jr. (31-0, 12 knockouts) and Mexican rival Juan Manuel Marquez (55-7-1, with 40 KOs). Pacquiao (54-5-2, with 38 KOs) was riding on a 15-match winning streak including that second-round KO win over Hatton on May 2, 2009. Rios is aiming to rebound from a unanimous decision loss to Mile Alvarado (34-2, with 23 KOs) in March this year. “My game plan for Rios will be similar to the one I had for Ricky Hatton.
